What is The PDI School?

The PDI School is Instruct IQ's online learning and development community for PDIs and ADIs.

It is separate from individual one-to-one instructor training. Rather than being built around a single training session or one stage of the qualification, it provides an environment where instructors can continue learning, reflecting and developing over time.

The community brings together structured development content, live sessions, AI tools and opportunities to learn alongside other trainee and qualified instructors.

Who is The PDI School for?

The PDI School is for both trainee and qualified driving instructors.

PDIs can use it alongside their development through Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the ADI qualification. Qualified ADIs can continue using the community for professional development after qualification.

Topics extend beyond passing the qualifying tests and can include instructional development, coaching, psychology, lesson planning, Standards Checks, reflective practice, business development and emerging technology.

You do not need to be an Instruct IQ trainee, franchisee or driving instructor to join.

What's included in The PDI School?

Membership brings together several different types of development in one online community.

Structured development content

Members can access development material designed to support learning beyond individual training sessions.

This includes programmes such as the KEEP Principle Course and the 6-Week Reflection Programme, alongside other development resources for PDIs and ADIs.

Live development sessions

The PDI School runs live online development sessions where members can explore subjects, discuss ideas and learn with other instructors.

The live sessions themselves are not recorded. Written Debrief Classroom summaries are provided so that key points and discussion from previous sessions remain available to members.

AI-powered development tools

The AI Lab gives members access to AI-powered tools developed to support instructor learning and professional development.

This includes tools from Instruct IQ's award-winning IQ GPT Suite.

The tools are intended to support learning, reflection and development rather than replace professional judgement or instructor training.

Community

Members can discuss ideas, ask questions and learn alongside other PDIs and ADIs within the Skool community.

For instructors who spend much of their working day one-to-one with pupils, this also provides a way to remain connected with other people developing within the profession.

Are The PDI School live sessions recorded?

No. The live development sessions are not recorded.

This allows the sessions to remain interactive and gives members space to contribute to discussion without every conversation becoming permanent recorded content.

Instead, key points from previous sessions are captured through written Debrief Classroom summaries, allowing members to revisit the subjects covered.

Is The PDI School part of Instruct IQ training?

The PDI School and individual Instruct IQ training can complement each other, but they are not the same service.

One-to-one instructor training can be used when you want direct support from an Instruct IQ trainer, including training for Parts 1, 2 or 3, Standards Check preparation or other areas of professional development.

The PDI School provides ongoing online development through its learning content, live sessions, AI tools and community.

You can use one without the other. You do not need to complete your ADI training with Instruct IQ or join Instruct IQ Driver Training to become a member of The PDI School.

How much does The PDI School cost?

The PDI School is currently $35 per month and includes a 7-day free trial.

The trial allows you to explore the community before deciding whether to continue with paid membership.

Membership and available content can change over time, so check The PDI School for the current offer before joining.

Where can I find free PDI and ADI resources?

The PDI School website also contains a public Knowledge Hub with articles and practical resources for trainee and qualified driving instructors.

The Knowledge Hub is separate from the members-only Skool community and can be used without joining the paid membership.

How do I join The PDI School?

You can visit The PDI School to explore the current membership and start the available free trial.

Joining The PDI School does not commit you to training with Instruct IQ Driver Training or joining the Instruct IQ franchise.
